Fatal Fury Team in The King of Fighters XIV

The Fatal Fury Team or known as the Italy Team is a team made up of the main characters of the Fatal Fury series, its first introduction was in The King of Fighters '94 with Andy, Joe and the leader, Terry. In this game they represent Italy, but later it is later revealed that they originated in the United States.

Story

The King of Fighters '94 and '95

The Fatal Fury team dates back to the time of the first The King of Fighters tournament, in which Terry and Andy Bogard, along with Joe Higashi teamed up to defeat Geese Howard, the man who killed their father Jeff Bogard. They would participate representing Italy and they reach the final of the tournament leaving Kyo Vs Terry which ends with the victory of Young Kyo Kusanagi in the final. Kyo Kusanagi is crowned as champion of The King of Fighters '94 tournament, and in the '95 tournament Terry's team is defeated by the Yagami Team continuing in The King of Fighters '95 tournament Kyo defeats the young Iori Yagami by time and defeated Rugal Organizer of the tournament and Kyo is crowned champion for the second time.

The King of Fighters '96

Again the Fatal Fury Team enters the tournament, however an unexpected surprise comes to them. A new team entered the tournament known as the Boss Team. The reason for his surprise is due to the appearance of 2 of its members: Geese Howard and Wolfgang Krauser, both were fighters who had been defeated by Terry and not only this, but they also believed both of them dead. Terry's team unfortunately does not reach the finals in this '96 tournament since this tournament Kyo beat Goenitz, Main Villain of this installment.

The King of Fighters '97

For this installment, the novelty for the team is the appearance of Terry's beloved, Blue Mary, a government agent who fell in love with him when she met him on one of his missions, like Yamazaki, an enemy of the Bogard since Fatal Fury 3, and here he is revealed as a member of the Orochi clan.

The King of Fighters '99

For the tournament, they admit Mai Shiranui in their group, since the new rules established teams of 4 members, which is fair to Mai since she always wanted to be in Terry's team to fight alongside Andy's (due to the love that she has him).

In this chapter, the Fatal Fury team has 2 endings, the "true" and a comic filler.

The true ending - is when Andy and the others believe that Terry dies being buried in the rubble of the base, and in the end it is seen that he managed to survive, it comes out when you beat Krizalid with Terry, Andy or Joe.

The comic ending - comes out when you beat Krizalid with Mai Shiranui, everyone manages to leave the base and Mai wants to force Andy to marry her, which ends in a comic scene.

The King of Fighters 2000 and 2001

For these tournaments, Mai is banned from the team and Blue Mary is the fourth member, since Terry thought it was a good idea, also he wanted to help him a little in terms of NESTS activities.

The King of Fighters EX 2

For this tournament, Joe does not appear, so Mai decides to take his place in Terry's team.

The King of Fighters 2003

In this tournament, Andy takes a break to go to training and at the same time train Hokutomaru, his disciple, Tizoc aka "The Griffon", a wrestling fighter who was in Garou: Mark of the Wolves, enters as the third member of the team. Terry back then already had his Garou: Mark of the Wolves costume and sprites.

The King of Fighters XI

In this tournament, Joe exits the team to participate in the Muay Thay World Tournament, and Terry forms a new team with Kim Kaphwan, a friend of his and Tae Kwon Do champion, and Duck King, a South Town fighting veteran who fights with your own flair by adding your Break Dance dance twist.

The King of Fighters XIII

For this year's tournament, both Andy and Joe would return to re-form the original team with Terry. In its finale after the defeat of Saiki and the disappearance of Ash Crimson, both Mai and Blue Mary appear congratulating their partners, and a girl who turned out to be a man dressed as a woman and what happens and it turns out that she is the one she saved in At the end of KOF 2003, he hugs Joe, having his rejection giving a rather comical flirtation.

Dream Match

In each Dream Match of 1998 and 2002 the group is again the same from past sagas, without Mai or Mary.

The King of Fighters XIV

Again the trio Terry, Andy and Joe return to fight in the next KOF, they also meet again with Terry's classic rivals (Geese and Billy) next to a new fighter in the South America Team.

Members

Below is a list of all the members that have appeared on the Team throughout the games. It should be noted that the Remake (KOF 2002: UM), KOF XII will not be taken into account since it does not present a team formed by default, nor the Spin-off such as KOF: Maximum Impact saga (since it is not the team).

Of the original team, Terry has been the character with the most appearances on the Fatal Fury Team (14 appearances), from his debut in The King of Fighters '94 to The King of Fighters XV without interruption. Joe's second with 13 appearances, who was only absent at The King of Fighters XI. Third in Andy with 12 appearances which is absent at The King of Fighters 2003 and The King of Fighters XI.
